Christine M. Brown

Christine grew up in Tucson, AZ and attended Northern Arizona University as an undergraduate, majoring in Communications. She attended law school at the University of Arizona and practiced as a criminal defense attorney at the offices of indigent defense in Phoenix for 12 years. Flagstaff was never far from her mind and she was given the opportunity to move back in 2002 as a senior litigator at the Public Defender’s Office. Following a short stint there she opened her own practice, Christine M. Brown, P.C. specializing in criminal defense, but also representing clients in guardianship/conservatorship cases, representing military veterans seeking benefits from the federal government, juveniles in delinquency and dependency cases, and conducting workplace investigations on the Navajo Nation, as well as other types of investigations.

Christine has been lead counsel in over forty felony jury trials of varying complexity, ranging from possession of marijuana to first degree murder and has appeared in courts all over Northern Arizona and the Phoenix metropolitan area.

In addition to running a private practice, Christine has served as a judge pro tempore for the past five years in the Flagstaff Municipal Court, the Flagstaff Justice Court, and the Williams Justice Court.

Christine joined Hufford & Horstman in 2019 as an associate and is grateful to work with such amazing attorneys with a wide range of backgrounds. She is excited to broaden the areas of law at Hufford & Horstman bringing her expertise in criminal defense to the firm.
